BOUNCY CASTLE HIRE AGREEMENT CONTRACT
This web site is operated by Humber events company . All bookings made via this web site are governed by these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is your responsibility as the Hirer to read and understand these Terms and Conditions of Hire PRIOR to making a booking.

If you are hiring the bouncy castle, please ensure you read all of the points below. We also recommend you have a copy of this information with you on the day of your event for reference. Any person/organisation hiring our equipment is responsible/liable for any damage or injuries occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. Persons using the equipment/other items do so at their own risk. These guidelines are for the safety of all persons using the inflatable, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Our company cannot accept responsibility for any damage or injury to anyone using the equipment however caused.
It is YOUR responsibility as the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable and its users.
(If the Hirer is in any doubt as to the meaning of the following, a representative from Humber events company should immediately be consulted.)
Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:
1) For safety do not mix younger children with older children/adults – Please ensure adults do not use children’s inflatables. Some children require strict supervision. Keep user heights around the same height.
2) All shoes, badges, peak hats and jewellery (i.e. large earrings, necklaces etc.) MUST be removed. It is recommended that spectacles are also removed. This is for your child’s safety as well as concern for the equipment. Do NOT leave hard objects in the entrance/exits to the inflatables.
3) No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or “silly string” must be used near or on the inflatable, as they can make a terrible mess and permanently stain the unit. No food or drinks to be consumed on the inflatable (to avoid choking & mess). Face Paints are known to permanently stain the inflatables. Please DO NOT smoke near or on the inflatable– Keep the inflatable clean throughout the hire – You will pay full repair costs or cleaning costs.
4. Do not allow children or adults to become boisterous, push, collide, fight or behave in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
5 Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed. A responsible adult must supervise the INFLATABLE at ALL times.
6) Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it.
7) Do not move the inflatable, or any of its accessories, under any circumstances.
8) Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable. No pregnant persons.
9) Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.
10) In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. Keep the unit inflated during small showers, and then when the shower has passed wipe the unit down with a towel. **
11) In the event that the extension lead overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, and then switch it back on again a few minutes later and it should restart. Ensure the blower is kept upright and the vent is kept clear of obstruction at all times. Do not plug other devices into our extension leads or overload your supply.
12. If the bouncy castle is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains.
13. Please warn children of the tie down points (if appropriate) and make the area behind the unit, where the electrical blower is sited, out of bounds for children.
14. The bouncy castle should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. If no shower cover is fitted and in the event of rain, the bouncy castle should not be used
15. Should the equipment fail for any reason, please ensure all users get off the bouncy castle immediately.
16. No unauthorised person should move the bouncy castle or tamper with the electrical equipment.
17. The inflatable must be returned in an acceptable condition, i.e. clean, unsoiled and undamaged. If it is badly soiled or damaged the hirer will be expected to pay an additional charge to cover the cleaning costs and our loss of earnings if the inflatable is rendered out of commission for any reason.
DISCLAIMER
Provided that the equipment is used in accordance with the above safety instructions and conditions of hire, those using the inflatable should do so safely without injury. Therefore, Humber events company can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, howsoever caused, in the absence of the negligence of Humber events company or its employees.
The equipment will be in the hirers possession and control whilst in use and not under the control of Humber events company and any liability for injuries or other losses caused, other than in the circumstances described above, rests with the hirer. It is strongly recommended that the hirer has their own adequate public liability insurance covering his or her liability arising from the use of the inflatable. By hiring any equipment from us you are accepting these terms and conditions, you are bound and you accept full responsibility for loss, damage, breakages, accidents and full liability of this hire and the items provided.

I have read, understood and agreed to comply with the rules, regulations and conditions set down by Humber events company as listed above in their Hire Agreement. I understand my insurance will be void if the Hire Agreement is not complied with:
BOOKINGS
- Hirers must be aged 18 years or over, identification will be required where the hirer may not look the required age.
- It is the hirers responsibility to check all required dimensions for space needed for our equipment. All our space requirements are clearly stated on each asset type. Upon arrival where equipment will not fit within the desired area. Humber events reserve the right to 100% of hire costs
- Overnight hire is subject to secure garden and refundable security deposit. Care and security information will be given upon delivery of the inflatable. Humber events company reserve the right to refuse hire if our equipment is at any security risk. Two-forms of identification will be required for all overnight hires
- Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee. Wether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.
PRICES
All prices are in UK Pounds and are inclusive of VAT where applicable, at the current rate. The price of the hire / goods will be as quoted on the web site at the time you confirm your order (usually by paying the deposit) subject only to any inadvertent technical error for which we will not be liable. If you subsequently amend your order, the prices charged will be those applicable to the amended item(s) at the time that the amended order is confirmed.
Promotions are only available until the stated end date.
The price of the hire of equipment does not include a charge for delivery if you are subject to one, check our delivery areas to see if you are required to pay a delivery charge .
AVAILABILITY
In the event of unavailability for whatever reason, we will replace the unavailable item with the closest possible alternative and advise you of this at the earliest possible date.
DELIVERY
- The cost of delivering to a particular area will be revealed when you choose this area. We may be able to deliver outside the areas available on our website. If you are outside of the areas shown on our website, please contact us to see if we can help you out.
- If we are unable to provide your delivery due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness or any other factor, we will inform you of this at the earliest possible opportunity. Delivery times can be arranged during the booking process for venues only. However you can schedule a delivery outside of our normal delivery hours of 6am – 12 noon if you wish.
- Upon delivery the hirer must sign our hire agreement and pay any remaining balance when accepting delivery of the assets. Humber events company will NOT deliver any assets without the final balance paid either on delivery or prior to event date as in accordance with the above booking fees and charges.
- Please ensure that there is adequate space for our products, that the location our products will be sited is accessible, and that you have cleared the area of mess and debris. You will be liable for the whole hire costs if we cannot deliver your product due to a lack of space or accessibility or due to an inappropriate location.
Cancellations
We understand that sometimes plans change and that it may become necessary to amend or cancel your booking. Our refund and cancellation policy details any cancellation fees that may be due and payable or if any refunds would be due.
Cancellation on all orders:
Cancellations are accepted. All we ask is that you cancel your order as early as possible. No later than 72 hours before your event. Should your order be cancelled less than 72 hours before your event or on the day of the event (including refusal of delivery on arrival) your order will be subject to a cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless.
Cancellation by Humber events company “The Company”
It is extremely rare for us to have to cancel a booking and as a company we have a great track record but we are also open to a large amount of issues that are beyond our control.
Where cancellation due to reasons beyond our control occur, any monies or booking fees paid will be fully refunded. Examples of reasons beyond our control are vehicle breakdown, equipment breakdown, staff shortages or any other reason, excluding health and safety grounds, including lack of space or wrong surface type, as these are confirmed before booking and are down to the client to check and confirm.
Cancellation by the Client “hirer”
Cancelled orders under £500 are subject to the following cancellation charges:
- More than 7 days prior to the event date, no charges incurred.
- Within 7 days of the event date, 50% of the contract total due unless we can hire out the equipment elsewhere.
- Up to 5pm on the day prior to the event date, 75% of the contract total.
- On day of the event, 100% of the contract total (unless cancellation due to bad weather!)
Cancelled orders over £500 are subject to the following cancellation charges:
- More than 4 weeks prior to the event date 20% of the contract total
- Within 4 weeks prior to the event date 50% of the contract total
- Within 2 weeks prior to the event date 100% of the contract total
NOTE 1: All cancellations or changes in booking must be notified in writing or by email and will only be accepted from the franking date of the envelope upon receipt at our offices or date of
receipt of the email.
NOTE 2: Cancellation charges do not apply to late bookings made within 7 days before the event.
NOTE 3: In the event of a Cancellation by the Client Humber events company will send an invoice for the amount due via email which is to be paid promptly on receipt.
Weather conditions.
All cancellations are subject to exemptions, extreme weather conditions are refundable 100%. Please be aware if we set up and weather turns it is NON refundable.Should we arrive on the day and our inflatables, soft play or any of our hire items are accepted by the customer to set up or inflate, if it rains on the day or you haven’t used the items for any reason your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of whether your event goes ahead or not.
