Party Arch

A booking is only confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received and a written confirmation email has been issued by Humber Events Company. The 10% non-refundable deposit (£19.50) is required to secure your chosen date — dates are not held without payment. Full payment of £195 is due no later than the date of the event. We reserve the right to cancel an unconfirmed booking if payment is not received within 48 hours of the agreed deadline. Confirmation of booking details (date, venue, access times) must be provided in writing at least 7 days prior to the event.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Humber Events Company. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event date will receive a full refund of the deposit paid. Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before the event will forfeit the deposit in full. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event date will be charged the full hire fee of £195, regardless of whether the arch has been delivered. In the event that Humber Events Company is unable to fulfil the booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown, extreme weather), a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered. We strongly recommend taking out wedding or event insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.

We will deliver, professionally set up and collect The Garden Party Arch at the agreed times confirmed in your booking. Setup typically takes 45–60 minutes and requires a flat, stable surface with adequate access. A responsible adult aged 18 or over must be present at both delivery and collection to sign off the condition of the arch. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure suitable access to the venue, including sufficient space, parking for our vehicle, and any permissions required from the venue. Collection will take place at the agreed time — if the arch cannot be collected due to access issues caused by the hirer, an additional collection fee may apply. Delivery charges may apply depending on your venue's distance from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The hirer assumes full responsibility for The Garden Party Arch from the moment of setup until collection by Humber Events Company. During this time, the following conditions must be observed:

• Do not attempt to move, reposition, dismantle or alter the arch in any way. The arch is assembled and installed by our team and must only be handled by Humber Events Company staff.

• Do not attach additional decorations, signage, balloons, lights or any items to the arch without prior written consent from Humber Events Company.

• Keep open flames, candles, fireworks, sparklers and any heat sources well away from the arch at all times. The silk flowers are decorative and not fire-retardant.

• Do not allow children or guests to climb, lean on, hang from or pull at the arch or its flowers. The hirer is responsible for supervising guests around the arch.

• Do not place food, drink, confetti (wet or dry), smoke machines or similar items directly on or around the arch in a manner likely to cause damage or staining.

• Any damage caused to the arch, its frame or floral arrangements — whether by the hirer, their guests, venue staff or third parties present at the event — will be assessed by Humber Events Company upon collection and charged to the hirer at full replacement cost. Replacement costs for the arch in full start from £500 and individual flower panels may be charged at £50–£150 per panel depending on extent of damage.

• Minor natural movement of flowers due to outdoor conditions is expected and not considered damage. However, deliberate interference or negligence resulting in breakage is the hirer's liability.

• The hirer agrees to indemnify Humber Events Company against any claims arising from misuse of the arch during the hire period.

The Garden Party Arch is suitable for outdoor use in calm, dry conditions. It is not designed to withstand high winds, heavy rain, hail or extreme weather. Humber Events Company reserves the right to decline setup or to remove the arch early if weather conditions deteriorate to a level that poses a risk to the safety of the arch, guests or our staff. No refund will be issued in such circumstances and it is the hirer's responsibility to have an indoor contingency plan available. If you are planning an outdoor event, we recommend monitoring weather forecasts and have your venue confirm indoor backup space in advance. Setup on soft, uneven or waterlogged ground may not be possible — please discuss your venue with us prior to booking.

Humber Events Company accepts no liability for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from the use, misuse or proximity to The Garden Party Arch during the hire period, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Our maximum financial liability in any circumstance is limited to the total hire fee paid by the hirer. Humber Events Company is fully insured for public liability. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the safety of their guests around the arch at all times. Humber Events Company accepts no responsibility for delays or non-delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, severe weather, road closures or venue access issues.

Humber Events Company may photograph or film The Garden Party Arch at events for use on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish for photographs taken at your event to be used for marketing purposes, please notify us in writing prior to your event date. By not providing such notice, the hirer grants Humber Events Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use images of the arch (not necessarily identifiable guests) for promotional purposes.
