Yes — you can leave an introduction for your guests. It could be both of you welcoming everyone, a birthday message or a request for their best advice.
- Use Voice Memos on an iPhone or the recording app on your phone, in a quiet room.
- Record a short, clear introduction. Tell guests to say their name and leave their message after the tone.
- Save the recording and email the audio file to humbereventscompany@gmail.com, with your booking name and event date.
- Send it before the event so we can prepare it. We check the greeting during setup. If you need help, ask us before your hire.

Keep it natural and easy to hear. A short introduction gives guests more time to leave their own message. Ask us about recording your greeting at setup if you cannot send a file beforehand.

The telephone box is suitable for many wedding and event venues, provided there is enough height, space and access. Ask your venue to approve the setup before paying your deposit.
Important: These are approximate planning figures, not a measured footprint. Allow additional space for depth, the open door, guest instructions and guests. We must confirm the actual setup dimensions and access for your venue before booking.
- Choose a visible, quieter spot where guests naturally pass
- Keep it away from DJ speakers and the dance floor for clearer audio
- Provide a flat, firm, dry floor with space to open the door
- Keep entrances, fire exits, walkways and accessibility routes clear
- For an illuminated neon, tell us where the nearest standard 13A socket is; we confirm power arrangements
- Indoor use is preferred. Any sheltered outdoor or marquee setup must be agreed with us beforehand

A £29.50 deposit is 10% of your £295 full-day booking. An enquiry alone does not hold the date: we confirm availability and your booking once the required deposit is received.
If plans change, email humbereventscompany@gmail.com as soon as possible with your name and event date. Date or venue changes need our written agreement and depend on availability and suitability.
Tell us about venue refusal or access concerns before booking. Do not assume the box will fit from photographs alone.

How much is telephone box audio guest book hire in Grimsby?
£295 for the full day, including the white telephone box, audio guest book, delivery, setup and collection. The neon sign is free if you want it. A 10% deposit is £29.50, leaving a £265.50 balance.
Will it fit in our venue?
It works in many venues, but permission, space and access must be checked. Height is approximately 7ft (2.13m). Use about 4ft (1.2m) as an estimated width allowance, then allow extra for depth, the open door and the instruction display. These are planning figures: send photos and measurements so we can confirm the actual setup.
Can we record our own introduction?
Yes. Record a clear voice memo on your phone and email the audio file to humbereventscompany@gmail.com with your name and event date before the hire. We prepare the greeting and check it during setup. Ask us beforehand if you need help.
Is the neon sign included?
Yes — the optional neon is included at no extra cost in the £295 package. Choose yes or no on the booking enquiry form. Tell us where the nearest mains socket is so we can confirm the lighting arrangements.
How long does setup take, and do you stay?
Allow around 45 minutes, with clear access and the setup position ready. This is a self-service audio guest book: we set it up, show you how it works and return to collect at the agreed time. It does not include an attendant staying for the day.
When do we receive the audio recordings?
We transfer all audio files digitally to the hirer within one week of the event. Give us the correct email address, then download and save the recordings when you receive them.
Can we use it outdoors?
Indoor use is preferred. A sheltered outdoor or marquee setup needs agreement before booking and must remain dry, stable and protected. Send details of the location and an indoor backup before committing to the hire.
Is this a photo booth as well?
This package records audio messages. Guests are welcome to take their own photographs of the display, but automatic photos, prints and video recording are not part of this £295 hire.
What if we need to cancel?
Email us as soon as possible. Cancellation charges depend on the notice given and your confirmed booking terms. The table above summarises the current policy for a standalone £295 hire; read the linked full policy before booking.
